Frequently Asked Questions

  • Permanent jewelry is a modern approach to wearing your favorite chains without clasps. Using precision micro-welding technology, we create a seamless, endless chain that's custom-fitted to your wrist, ankle, or neck. Each chain is carefully sized to your unique measurements, creating a perfect fit that becomes part of your everyday style.

  • Yes! While we call it "permanent jewelry," it can be removed if needed. The chain can be easily cut with standard jewelry tools. However, once cut, it will need to be rewelded by a professional to wear again. Many clients choose to keep their chain as a keepsake even after removal.

  • Not at all! The welding process is completely painless and takes just seconds. For your comfort and protection, we place a soft leather barrier between the welding point and your skin – it's just one of the ways we ensure your welding experience is safe and luxurious. You might feel a tiny "tap" when the ends are connected, but there's no burning sensation or discomfort. Many clients describe the experience as exciting rather than uncomfortable.

  • With proper care, your permanent jewelry chain can last indefinitely. Our chains are made with high-quality materials designed for everyday wear. They can withstand regular activities including showering, swimming, and exercising. However, like any fine jewelry, being gentle with your chain will help maintain its beauty longer.

  • Yes! Our permanent jewelry is TSA-friendly and won't set off metal detectors. You can confidently wear your chain through airport security and during travel.

  • Gold-filled jewelry is much more valuable and durable than gold-plated items. It consists of a solid layer of 14k gold that is bonded to a jeweler's brass core under heat and pressure. The gold layer is at least 1/20th (5%) of the item's total weight, making it significantly more durable than plating. Gold-filled chains can last for many years without tarnishing or wearing off, unlike gold-plated jewelry.

  • We recommend avoiding permanent jewelry if you:

    • Have a pacemaker or other electronic medical devices (due to the welding process)

    • Are pregnant or planning to become pregnant soon (wrist size may change)

    • Have metal allergies (consult your doctor first)

    • Work in environments where jewelry poses a safety risk

    • Participate in contact sports where jewelry isn't allowed

    • Have upcoming medical procedures requiring jewelry removal

  • As long as you still have your chain, I'm happy to provide a complimentary repair for any purchases made directly from me if the break occurred at the weld site. Simply book an appointment, and I'll take care of it for you! While breaks at other points along the chain aren't covered under warranty (as all sales are final), don't worry – we can always work together to find a solution that will have you falling in love with your jewelry all over again.

  • Unfortunately, all sales are final once your chain is cut and welded, and I am not able to replace lost jewelry. This is why we take extra care during the fitting process to ensure your chain has the perfect, secure fit from the start.

    • Avoid catching your chain on rough surfaces

    • Remove lotions and sunscreens around the jewelry area

    • Pat dry after swimming or showering

    • Avoid chemical exposure (pools, hot tubs, cleaning products)

    • Clean gently with a soft jewelry cloth when needed
